Sport Science Taps Retro Design for a Unique Running Shirt

Sports performance t-shirt company, Sport Science, taps Eye Design Studio’s love for running to create a retro-running shirt design for Manhattan-based specialty retailer, Paragon Sports. The client was specifically interested in pursuing a Warhol inspired design mixed with the phrase, “I Can Run NYC”. Since Paragon had a retro-logotype ready to go, running in this direction seemed only natural.

While there are always concerns about generating work “inspired” by one of the art world’s greats, this unique spin and can design stems from an Eye Design hand-drawn illustration. While the artwork was the key driver in the project, Sport Science took the final product to a higher level printing the design using their Fusion™ Print technology. The shirt boasts a fun spirit and wears with a soft hand. While the production future of this shirt is still undetermined, you may see it running by on a runner in the Big Apple or only on the pages of our site.
